The origin of this initiative comes from the long work that Enric Segarra has realized with his pupils of the Workshop of Art of the School of The Black poplars The Puig, Valencia.
This experimental Workshop is born of the proposal of the person who puts it into practice: EnricSegarra is a sculptor and painter and his pretension is that of making to come to the children of Infantile Education of the above mentioned School what means the sculpture.

If we play with regard to the drawing or painting, we are creating something not induced by rules, but playfully, with freedom. On having turned out to be specified, this facet comes to the spectator, who is the one that stops completing the above mentioned game.
The game is an elementary function in the life of the human being, the same culture always has playful components; in all the acts, our interior child prevails. Often we stop ourselves, since the social rules censure this attitude.
With regard to the human being, when it plays, in any of his forms of playing, it includes the reason, the intelligence, playing for a cause or purpose, arranging and disciplining the above mentioned games movements and being able to repeat it so many times as he wants, and, to obtain this way different achievements.
As for the drawing and the painting, the way of carrying the work out should support the characteristics of the game, since this way, playing with lines, with colors and with spaces, supporting neither pre-established rules, nor general characteristics, we will be able to discover a good and personal work tied to our playful interior.

"The workshops of Art of the Origin differ for two things" his creator explains the plastic artist Ender Rodríguez." The workshops are born immediately after two big worries - he keeps on explaining - which are fundamental because they are happening at level of the formal education, and at social level and relative. One of the causes has to do with the human rights violation of the children of the free expression, whom are allowed to discover his own creation and to express itself freely without ties and norms. The educational structure that we know is rigid and it generates many pressure on the shoulders of those whom we call “alumnos ” for saying something: ah! why here also in Workshops of the Origin do we break another educational paradigm: And the fact is that nobody is “alumno ” and nobody is “profesor ”! What we do is to share the expressions, the emotions, the feelings, what expresses the subconscious, the instinctive thing, the sleep, the art comes then from the interior world, from the soul."

This project offers resources to be employed at the classroom, in such a way that it is possible to dedicate the necessary time to be deepened in some of the topics that in the course of a visit to the rooms can only be insinuated. The opening to the school centers allows to raise some questions on the contemporary art linked to the later direct contact with different works that are part of the Collection MACBA, knowing that it is not easy to break the topics and that it is not enough to wish it to gain access to an appreciation without prejudices. This project has been conceived like a series of didactic proposals to develop in the classroom with the help of a set of materials (three-dimensional objects, images and texts), presented in a box with form of briefcase, which are delivered in loan to the teachers who this way request it.
