VEGAP Authors' society of Visual Creation
VEGAP [Visual Entity Management Artists Plásticos] is the authors' society that manages of collective form in Spain the rights of intellectual property of the visual creradores, activity that it has developing from June 5, 1990, date in which the entity was created by O.M. of the Department of Culture.
The expression "visual creation" defines the creative images field so much if these are fixed as in movement, with independence which will be the used material support. These groups of creations correspond to drawing, collage, cómic, copyart, perfomances, electronic art, cartoon, design, sculpture, photo, engraving and other serial works, graphic humor, illustration, facilities, interventions, painting and videoarte.
At present VEGAP represents in Spain or manages the rights of more of 32.ooo visual creators of the whole world, codes that it grows every day for the constant adherence of new associates in more than thirty author's societies in the whole world.

FOUNDATION Art and Right
Created on initiative of the entity of collective management of copyright of the Spanish visual creators, VEGAP in order to give him a better development to the activities that are executed from the Welfare and Cultural Fund, and to contribute to the progress of the socio-economic conditions of the visual creators, specifically in everything related to the copyright of the sector. His object and ends consist of developing, with charitable character and without fortitude of lucre, the promotion and execution of social activities in interest of the visual creators, as well as of his professional associations and of his authors' societies, both in Spain and out of Spain. Likewise, he tries to spread and defend the copyright of the visual creators, creating channels that they allow to bring over to the world of the right and of the judicature to this sector. [+ info]

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
to intellectual property, as it establishes the Civil Code in his articles 428 and 429, it is part of the called special properties, and comes to constitute a special way of exercising the property right on certain juridical objects that, for his quality, specialize the domain.
As special property, the Civil Code sends his regulation to a special law, and declares the supplementary application of the general rules established in the same one on the property for not specially foreseen in the above mentioned special law. This law is the Law of Intellectual property, which Reruined Text was approved by the Legislative Royal decree 1/1996, of April 12 (I file in format 172KB).
The said text - modified by the Law 5/1998, of March 6, - constitutes, together with the regulatory norms of partial development of that one, the legal frame by which the Intellectual property is regulated in Spain, without detriment to the established in the matter for the agreements and international agreements of which our country is a part.

His essential end is the protection of the author, of the publisher and other rightful claimants in the exercise and by means of the effective management of the rights of reproduction, distribution and public communication of the literary, musical, theatrical, cinematographic works and any other audio-visual works, the exclusive right of transformation of such works with a view to his interactive use in productions or in transmissions of "multimedia", analogical or digital, and the remuneration rights for the reproduction deprived of the aforesaid works recorded in phonograms, videogramas and other sonorous, visual or audio-visual supports, for the public communication of audio-visual works, as well as the rent or loan of phonograms and videogramas.
