TO AVOID DAMAGES BEFORE THEY ARE IRREVERSIBLE
In most of occasions, we decide to restore a work of art when it already presents the state of deplorable conservation or an important deterioration, with losses that reduce not only his original functionality, but also his comprehension or esthetic appreciation. In some cases, the damages are already irreversible. It must never be waited up to the last moment to restore, and the restoration should happen to the conservation treatments, if it was necessary, not on the contrary.
