PORT OF THE ARTS 2009

Between September 4 and October 4 there returns to Huelva the "Port of the Arts", cycle of contemporary art that was born in the spaces of The Rábida in 1998, managing to celebrate five editions until 2002 and managing to obtain a notable resonance in the panorama of the arts.

Framed in seven projects under five different commissions, in PORT OF THE ARTS 2009,6th Cycle of Art and Contemporary Creation of Huelva meets the participation of numerous creators, rescuing a cultural event that stirs up a nourished deployment of proposals related to the new visual culture and his speeches, and creating an urban axis that occupies simultaneously the majority of the explanatory spaces of the from Huelva capital.

The cycle of art and contemporary creation Port of the Art ´09 proposes the city like an open space to the culture, stirring up from the frame of Huelva a trip participativo that goes from the provincial and national creators to the international ones across seven projects with different commissions and concepts, which generate a wide event of simultaneous creative proposals throughout one month bringing the current art over to the citizenship.

DISHARMONY: CONNECTION OF UNION BETWEEN ARTISTS AND COMPANIES

DISONANCIAS is a platform directed to companies, research centers or interested public entities in collaborating with artists to encourage his innovation.

After 4 years of experience, more than 40 developed projects and numerous exchanges with international programs, it has been demonstrated that not only a real demand exists on the part of the companies needed from creativity, but also on the part of the artists who want to interact with ambiences wider than the definitely cultural one

One of the targets of DISHARMONY, beyond impelling innovation processes in the companies, and of propocionar to the artists opportunities to work like investigators, consists of promoting in the society the importance of developing creative environments.

INTERMEDIAE, THE ARTISTIC INTERACTION WITH THE CITIZEN

Intermediæ opened to the public from February, 2007, incorporates like principal budget a performance model, inside the artistic context and current culture, based on the critical dialogue and the self-criticism, from a position of equality and transparence with the citizen.

The gestation of networks of collaboration, the horizontalidad and the vocation transdisciplinar are some of the postulates that characterize doing of Intermediæ.

Of the interaction Intermediæ-Citizen claims that there arises a platform where the constant questions creation is favored, so much on the part of the creators as the public, with that to come closer answers that finally define the contemporary, immediate and future context.

LIFE 12.0: ART AND ARTIFICIAL LIFE

LIFE 12.0 rewards artistic works developed with technologies of artificial life and his associate disciplines: the robotics, the artificial intelligence, etc. they look for works of art that have emergent behaviors, that evolve with the time, that react to his environment and that seem to have proper life. LIFE 12.0 also looks for projects that relate the technological thing to the biological thing, and that investigate the synthetic characteristics of the contemporary life.

A whole for 40.000 euros will be assined for three projects selected by the jury. Project delivery time: from July 6, 2009 until October 1, 2009.

The second form of the International Contest LIFE 12.0 has the target to finance artistic projects of artificial life (and his associate disciplines) that still have not been realized. The contest is opened to participants of the whole Latin America, Spain and Portugal.

"OPEN MADRID" COLLABORATES WITH "INTERVENTIONS TV.10"

The general topic of the call (www.intervenciones.tv) is "Television: public and private space" and the term of presentation, postal route to the Cultural center Montehermoso or across the web, July 1 to October 31, 2009. The chosen pieces will be able to be expressed during the edition of the current edition of Madrid Opened in February, 2010, in whose case every author will receive the quantity for 500 euros (included taxes).

Project call 2009-2010

The Cultural Association Open Madrid opens the term of project presentation for the 6th edition of his international program of public art, which will take place during 2009 and 2010. The program will develop a debates cycle on public art and will produce a series of interventions of ephemeral or temporary character in the center of Madrid, which authors will be selected for the most part across this open call. Also a specific call is realized for sonorous works and the collaboration with the project includes Interventions TV for audio-visual works.

"MOMENTS OF SCENERY 09",
CONTEST OF AUDIO-VISUAL PIECES

The object of the call Moments of Scenery 09 is the selection of a maximum of ten projects in order to encourage the idea of scenery and the audio-visual creation.

The contest is opened to all the natural and juridical persons lover of the plastic arts who will be able to send a maximum of two pieces for participant. The work must be realized for format DVD bearing in mind his later exhibition monochannel or betacam digitalis.

The requests accompanied by the required papers, will be able to appear until 2 p.m. of September 30, 2009, personally or by mail, in the CDAN.
